ArjoWigginsAppleton accepted a £2.2bn takeover bid from Worms of France forming ArjoWiggins.

 

Buckland Mill was closed and Conqueror manufacture was transferred from Buckland Mill to Stoneywood Mill.

 

2001


Arjo Wiggins took over the entire capital of its minority shareholders.

Acquisition of 100 % stake in Witcel.
Acquisition of 100 % stake in Salto.
Acquisition of 100 % stake in Arjobex

 

2004


The European carbonless operations of Papeteries de Nivelles et Virginal, Dartford Mill and Fort William Mill were reintegrated into Arjowiggins

 

2007


Arjowiggins and Antalis form a new partnership combining their marketing, commercial and distribution forces in the Asia Pacific Region with the creation of Image Paper Asia Pte Ltd., 50% owned by each company.  Image Paper Asia become operative on 1 October 2007

 

ArjoWiggins employs 8000 in 35 mills around the world, with four paper mills in the UK
